Piano with painted inside case
Viennese-action piano after a single-strung instrument by Anton Walter in the Finchcocks Collection dated 1802. The case is made of sweet chestunt, with a painted interior. The instrument has a sustaining knee pedal and is strung in copper-wound brass core in the lower register, brass in the middle and soft iron in the treble.
Case measurements: length 122.5cm; width 43cm; height 16.5cm.
